Connected to His Heart

Lion of Judah Worship Center Ministries, Pastor E. C. Dowdy

Scriptures: Ezekiel 11:19-21; pillars: Jere. 32:39, Ezek. 18:31, Zech. 7:12

As we study this key scripture, we hear God saying he will replace the hearts of stone with a heart of flesh. We wonder how and when this will occur? Pillar scriptures substantiate this promise of a new heart. In Genesis 6:5 we are told that the heart of God was grieved because of the wickedness in the heart of man. The transformation process we are looking at today is a result of the new birth. His Spirit dwelling in our spirits, we are sowing the Word into our spirits, and it is going into the data center of our hearts, that is when heart renewal takes place. Our hearts must be fed by his Spirit and his Word. That is what changes our actions, desires, thought patterns, and beliefs. Sin hardens our hearts towards God, we lift our heads and strut away from His commands. As believers in Yeshua, we are connected to God, receiving wisdom and instruction daily from His Spirit to transform our lives. Romans 12:2, renewing our minds changes the contents going into our hearts. The heart was/is designed to receive the bulk of its operating instructions from the heart of God. That is what gives it the tenderness, the love, joy, peace, gentleness, kindness, faith, patience, meekness, and temperance or self-control. We call these qualities “Fruit of the Spirit” they represent the transformation process that is at work in us. Our hearts cannot be pure until they have been washed by the washing of water of the Word.

The characteristics of an evil heart are: stubbornness, Ezek. 8:11; madness, Eccle. 9:3; Depravity, Jere. 17:9; Extortion and excess, Matt.23:25. The Word also calls it the fountainhead of all evil in Mark 7:21. It is the source of unbelief and covetousness, Heb. 3:12 and II Peter 2:14.

Those are the exact opposite of the character traits God has in store for us. As we work to debug our hearts from the contents of the previous owner, we are not alone. Remember God is on our side and His Spirit is directing the battle. Let us set our sails for victory.

Healing and Deliverance

Foundation Scripture for LOJWC Ministry:

For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Mark 11:23

What We Believe:

We believe in God, the Father, Almighty, and in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. On the third day he rose again according to Scripture. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father, from whence he shall come to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the God-head, who revealed himself on the day of Pentecost. We believe in the gifts of the Spirit and their continuous operation in the body of Christ. And we believe in one holy, universal, and apostolic church. Amen.

Faith Confession:

We conduct spiritual warfare. It begins with us as we speak God’s word and speak to our bodies, minds, and emotions. Therefore we make a faith confession which says: “Satan, in the Name of Jesus, I declare this body a sickness-disease-free zone. Every germ, virus, bacterium, etc., that touches this body dies instantly in the name of Jesus, who bore my sicknesses, carried my diseases, and by whose stripes I have been healed. Therefore I command life into every cell in this body, I receive healing for my emotions from every past embedded hurtful, fearful memory. I speak active deliverance from the law of sin and death, according to the finished works of Jesus the Christ, the anointed and His anointing.
