The Heart of Man, Part 2a

What is the heart of man? This can become a deep subject, yet it is one we need to be acutely aware of if we are to cleanse our hearts; what needs to be removed, and why? The heart of man is referred to as the inner man, or real man/person. It receives data from the spirit of man, the mind of man, the soul, intellect, and physical nature through the eye gates and ear gates. This data determines man’s creed, his life code, his belief system, his actions. See Matt. 15:19, Mark 7:20-23, and Proverbs 23:7. In I Samuel 16:7 we are told that God looks on the heart to determine who we really are. David is called a man after God’s own heart.

We may have made the confession of salvation according to Romans 10:9-10, but never planted the Word of God, never renewed our minds, which produces what the Apostle calls carnal believers in I Cor. 3:1-3. Stripped down it means there is no place prepared for the Word to be planted and bear fruit, so the actions still mirror those of the world, not Christ. Now before your head does a tilt-a-whirl action again, return to the gospels and the account of the hearts that failed to produce. Check out Matt. 13:1-23; look again at verse 22, which says worry and the deceitfulness of riches choke the Word and prevents fruit bearing. See Mark 4:3-20 and Luke 8:5-15. Notice the hearts that failed to reproduce the seed (Word of God). That, church of the living God, is why we are in this series, that all may hear, and cleanse their hearts with expert assistance from the Holy Spirit.

Healing and Deliverance

Foundation Scripture for LOJWC Ministry:

“For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” Mark 11:23

What We Believe:

We believe in God, the Father, Almighty, and in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. On the third day he rose again according to Scripture. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father, from whence he shall come to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the God-head, who revealed himself on the day of Pentecost. We believe in the gifts of the Spirit and their continuous operation in the body of Christ. And we believe in one holy, universal, and apostolic church. Amen.

Faith Confession:

We conduct spiritual warfare. It begins with us as we speak God’s word and speak to our bodies, minds, and emotions. Therefore we make a faith confession which says: “Satan, in the Name of Jesus, I declare this body a sickness-disease-free zone. Every germ, virus, bacterium, etc., that touches this body dies instantly in the name of Jesus, who bore my sicknesses, carried my diseases, and by whose stripes I have been healed. Therefore I command life into every cell in this body, I receive healing for my emotions from every past embedded hurtful, fearful memory. I speak active deliverance from the law of sin and death, according to the finished works of Jesus the Christ, the anointed and His anointing.”
