God’s Love and Forgiveness

Lion of Judah Worship Center Ministries, Pastor E. C. Dowdy

Greetings to all who come to the table to taste and see that the “Lord is good, and that His mercy endureth forever.” As we continue exploring the love of God, and the transforming power of that love in our hearts, we understand that when scripture says that God is love, it carries the power of transformation embedded within it.

I John 4:9, 11, & 20: “In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because God sent His only begotten Son into the world that we might live through Him.

“Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

“If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?”

When we take the love of God and let it transform us into the new creations we are destined to become, our nature changes. We sloth off the nature from the previous owner, satan, and clothe ourselves in the nature of God Almighty. It is clearly stipulated that God’s love has requirements, one of those requirements is the art of forgiving. We are reminded throughout scripture that we are not to hold grudges, resentfulness, hatred, or any other emotional tie that keeps bondage active in our hearts.

Matt. 5:8, “Only the pure in heart shall see God.” That says that we have activated the love of God shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit and detoxed our hearts that were bastions of all of the above and more, the nature of satan. Why is having a pure heart emphasized? As children of the Most High, we must adopt His nature, we must permit the mind of Christ (attitude) to be our guide, and lead us away from the tenets of the world and how it reacts to situations, circumstances, and people.

When we sloth off the sin nature and dress in the law of the spirit of life in Jesus Christ, we are transformed into the people of God. Jesus stated in John 14:15: “If you love me, keep my commandments.” In John 15:7-13, He explains the acts of love, it is not fake (throat deep), but must come from the heart. “From the issue of the heart, the mouth speaks.”

Beloved let us love one another, for love is of God!!!

Foundation Scripture for LOJWC Ministry:

For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Mark 11:23

What We Believe:

We believe in God, the Father, Almighty, and in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. On the third day he rose again according to Scripture. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father, from whence he shall come to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the God-head, who revealed himself on the day of Pentecost. We believe in the gifts of the Spirit and their continuous operation in the body of Christ. And we believe in one holy, universal, and apostolic church. Amen.

Faith Confession:

We conduct spiritual warfare. It begins with us as we speak God’s word and speak to our bodies, minds, and emotions. Therefore we make a faith confession which says: “Satan, in the Name of Jesus, I declare this body a sickness-disease-free zone. Every germ, virus, bacterium, etc., that touches this body dies instantly in the name of Jesus, who bore my sicknesses, carried my diseases, and by whose stripes I have been healed. Therefore I command life into every cell in this body, I receive healing for my emotions from every past embedded hurtful, fearful memory. I speak active deliverance from the law of sin and death, according to the finished works of Jesus the Christ, the anointed and His anointing.
