Bondages of the Mind—A Suspicious, Critical, Judgmental Mind, Part 5

The bondages of the mind were not set up by God. They are set up to prevent us from growing to our full capacity spiritually. The battle is in the mind. Not every thought that enters our minds is from God. Bondages of the mind are those strongholds and mindsets that have come to steal, to kill, and to destroy. When we don’t know what they are, we think they are just a part of us. When all of these bondages are active and operating in our mind, we are not able to receive wisdom and instruction from God. The normal mind condition for a believer is peace.

In Matthew 7:1, Jesus says, “Judge not that you be not judged.” So much torment that comes to people’s lives comes because of people’s judgmental attitudes, criticisms, and suspicions. Judgment and criticism are the fruit of a deeper problem—pride. The system that we feed, or practice, in our minds becomes the default system. As energy sources fight for control of what thoughts dominate the system, we are to act as gatekeepers. When we see this happening, we have to rely on Holy Spirit for help. What We Believe:

We conduct spiritual warfare. It begins with us as we speak God’s word and speak to our bodies, minds, and emotions. Therefore we make a faith confession which says: “Satan, in the Name of Jesus, I declare this body a sickness-disease-free zone. Every germ, virus, bacterium, etc., that touches this body dies instantly in the name of Jesus, who bore my sicknesses, carried my diseases, and by whose stripes I have been healed. Therefore I command life into every cell in this body, I receive healing for my emotions from every past embedded hurtful, fearful memory. I speak active deliverance from the law of sin and death, according to the finished works of Jesus the Christ, the anointed and His anointing.”
