Fight the Good Fight of Faith, Part 4
Recognizing Mind Blockades
Faith is a spiritual law. God is a faith God. Everything we receive from God, we receive by faith. Two mind blockades prevent us from fighting the good fight of faith. We need to know these things, because they will keep us from being effective in our faith walk. The first is a wandering mind. If we admit it, most of us have a wandering mind—our mind loses track when someone is talking or we are listening to a sermon, for example. Our minds have left the moment. That inability to stay focused keeps us from fighting the good fight of faith, which requires focus on God’s Word. The second roadblock, a wondering mind, can take us out of belief. Wondering leaves a person in indecision, which causes confusion. Wondering, indecision, and confusion prevent a person from receiving from God, by faith, the answer to prayer or need. For more insight, listen to this message delivered by Dr. Dowdy for Sept. 29, 2019.
1 Timothy 6:12 NIV
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
Ecclesiastes 5:1 KJV
Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil.
Mark 11:23–24 KJV
For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. 24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

Healing Prayer:
Foundation Scripture for LOJWC Ministry:
“For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” Mark 11:23
What We Believe:
We believe in God, the Father, Almighty, and in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. On the third day he rose again according to Scripture. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father, from whence he shall come to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the God-head, who revealed himself on the day of Pentecost. We believe in the gifts of the Spirit and their continuous operation in the body of Christ. And we believe in one holy, universal, and apostolic church. Amen.
Faith Confession:
We conduct spiritual warfare. It begins with us as we speak God’s word and speak to our bodies, minds, and emotions. Therefore we make a faith confession which says: “Satan, in the Name of Jesus, I declare this body a sickness-disease-free zone. Every germ, virus, bacterium, etc., that touches this body dies instantly in the name of Jesus, who bore my sicknesses, carried my diseases, and by whose stripes I have been healed. Therefore I command life into every cell in this body, I receive healing for my emotions from every past embedded hurtful, fearful memory. I speak active deliverance from the law of sin and death, according to the finished works of Jesus the Christ, the anointed and His anointing.”
