Double-mindedness is a mindset within a mindset. One mindset is under the law of sin and death, while the other is under the Spirit of Life. We like to be in control of our lives and circumstances, but we are called to trust wholeheartedly in God our Father. That means not holding onto a “Plan B” while waiting for God’s plan to unfold. Listen to this message delivered by Dr. Dowdy on August 7, 2016, based on James 1:7–8.

“But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.” —James 1:6–8 NKJV
