This principle is often used by people trying to get material blessings (as in money, money, money). However, God won’t give us something we’re not ready for. God is not holding out on you.
What is it that we are confessing? What is it we are seeking to possess? We are confessing the word of the living God, that we may possess the manifestation of the promises of the living God that are already in His Word. Yet we don’t always possess all of the things God has prepared for us. And He says it has not even entered into the heart of man the things He has prepared for us.
These are the key scriptures that are used in the principle that confession brings possession: Romans 10:9–10, Mark 11:23–24, Matthew 21:21, and Genesis 1:3, 6, 9, 11, 14, 20, 24, 46.
“…If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:9–10 NKJV
