Ps. 138:2, “I will worship toward thy holy temple. And praise thy name for thy loving-kindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy Word above all thy name.”

It is the latter part of that verse that provides the basis for our Message today. God, Himself has magnified his Word above all His names. And the Word He raised from the dead and gave Him a name above all names.

His word is supernatural–it cannot be understood with the natural mind; if you doubt that look at the religious leaders of Jesus’ day. They were the keepers of the flame, yet never once did the Word of God penetrate the strongholds of darkness they operated in. The same is true for us today, the entrance of His Word brings light… But we are told the enemy comes immediately to steal that which has been sown so it will not grow up and produce fruit. See the sower sows the Word in the synoptic gospels. We spend our days discussing, debating, and disclaiming whether God meant what He said when He has already said: “He is not a man that He should lie; nor the son of man that He should repent.” The different translations are not addendum’s or amendments to what he originally spoke. Let us be clear on that. When He said, “I am the God that healeth thee,” that is His will; it’s in the book! He has never said it passed away; nor that it was reserved for the privileged few. “Whosoever will!” Yet many believers have not really believed His Word on healing that is threaded throughout the Old and New Testaments and spend millions on doctors trying to get them to do what they believe is not God’s will for them! Yes it is an oxymoron!

The same thing happens with prosperity; the Word of salvation prospers you, the Word of deliverance prospers you, when the Word stored in your heart keeps you from sinning that is prosperity. We are spirit, soul and bodies, these components of our beings are not compartmentalized cylindrical self-contained units; they are inter-connected. Whatever affects us in one area outflows from the inside outwards. Jesus said: “Seek first the kingdom of heaven and all these things will be added to you.”

What things? Those things that pertain to life and unto godliness as recorded in II Peter 1:3. It’s in the Book! Whose report will you believe? God’s Word has the authority to save us, Romans 10:9-10; to keep us from sin, Romans 6:6-7, Ps. 119:11; to heal us, Isa. 53:5, I Peter 2:24; to renew our minds, Romans 12:2; to impart strength, Isa. 41:27-31, Phil. 4:10-13; it is protection in times of troubles, Ps. 24:1-6, Ps. 121 and Ps. 91.

When the tempter came to Jesus, he defeated him with the Word. The authority resident in God’s Word is released when we believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths. We have tried to speak before sowing the Word in our heart; it is impossible to reap a harvest where no seed has been planted, tended and grown into maturity.

Is your heart filled with fear? II Timothy 1:7 says, “God did not give us a spirit of fear…” I John 4:18 says there is no fear in love, for perfect love–the love of God shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit–casts out fear. Heb. 2:14-15 says Jesus came to deliver them who through their fear of death were held in bondage all their lives.

Are you fighting eviction from your earth house by sickness and disease? What have you been redeemed from? See Deut. 28:15-68, Gal. 3:13-14, 29. Jesus became a curse for us, for it is written, “cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree….”

When we make a quality decision that God meant what He said and decide to move from compromise condos we will arrive in the promise land where the Word of God is the final authority in every life circumstance.

The Word benefits include: Our hearts are purified by the Word which is fire. Ps. 12:6

We are healed by the Word in all three dimensions of our beings, Ps. 103:2, 107:20, Exo. 15:26

We are able to change pathways permanently because of the Word. “How shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to your Word. Ps. 119:10. Your Word have I hidden in my heart that I may not sin against you,” verse 11.

“If you abide in me; and my Word abide in you, ask what you will and it shall be done for you.” John 15:7 The Word: The revealed will of the living God!
